Solar Panel Installers Place Solar Paneled Signs Where Traffic Congestion Is That an All-Time High
Many municipalities, small towns and big cities are beginning to see the benefits of solar panel installation on their street signs and traffic signs because they are seeing less accidents and more alert drivers.
Solar panel traffic signs range from solar paneled stop signs, solar powered railroad crossing signs, and solar powered deer crossing signs, solar powered children at play signs, solar powered emergency exit signs, solar power directional signs and solar powered message signs.
These solar powered street signs look like ordinary traffic signs except they have a small solar panel jutting out from the back that collects the sun’s energy to either light up the sign in some way or generate energy to the three or four flashing LED lights.
Solar panel installers can place solar panel stop signs at four-way stops in order to help make sure no one runs through the stop signs possibly causing a fatal accident. The four flashing red LED lights that surround the word STOP are designed to grab the attention of drivers so they can receive the stop sign more clearly and bring their vehicle to a complete stop.
Between three and four in the afternoon of any given weekday there are hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren running about in front of schools all across the nation. There are bright yellow school buses waiting to pick them up and drive them home, in addition to parents also picking up their children from school. Flashing LED solar powered signs would help with a lot of the foot traffic around schools because not many people are paying attention, especially the children at that time of day. Kids are taught never to walk between the buses, and this is why most of them park so close together; however some children do slip through and it is very difficult for the bus driver to see them. With the LED flashing stop signs and directional signs it will remind the children of the path they need to take to their bus.
