Weddings in Michigan, a Wedding to Remember In a Beautiful Old Castle
A destination wedding means the bride and groom, along with their close friends and family, travel to a different and unique location for the wedding and reception and sometimes people make a vacation out of the wedding, staying extra days to enjoy their time away from home.
Weddings in Michigan may not sound like a beautiful destination wedding; however there is a unique old castle that thousands of couples have been married in that offers a unique and different style wedding for those looking for something a little ‘off the beaten path’.
The castle has several different gardens throughout the grounds in which to hold a wedding ceremony in any type of weather. If flowers and gardens are not your thing, there are different rooms, unique areas and a chapel that could each accommodate a couple exchanging vows along with all their many guests.
A Michigan wedding located in Charlevoix, Michigan, could offer a couple their choice of a wedding in any of the four seasons because the Midwest experiences all four ‘flavors’ of the year – Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. A destination wedding in the tropics only offers a sun drenched day at the beach; whereas if the couple enjoys winter, they could marry outside in one of the beautiful Michigan gardens while small fire pits are close by to keep guests and the wedding party warm and if it happens to snow, all the better. Then the guests would go inside for a wonderful wedding reception including dinner and dancing.
If the couple to be wed does not live in Michigan, they should send the invitations at least two to three months in advance of the wedding date in order to give everyone an opportunity to make arrangements for travel and hotel accommodations. Additionally, a couple should not get their hopes up that everyone will be able to attend a destination wedding far from their home because many people cannot take off work or have the financial means to cover travel expenses with the economy the way it is.
