Changing professions to CISSP
The economic situation is worrying my family at the moment. Even my brother-in-law who is a computer whizz kid is increasing his training in order to help his prospects of keeping his current job. He is working towards getting a CISSP certification as he feels that this is something that will help to make him indispensible in his company. He is working really hard to get it as quickly as possible as he knows that they will very soon have to cut staff levels and he does not want to be part of those cuts. He thinks that this information security training is one of the best tings that he can do, in his field of work in order to make himself more appealing to his company, They have no qualified workers at the moment and he knows that it is an area that they have concerns about and were considering employing new people to do, until their profits fell recently. He is paying for the CISSP course himself as he knows that his company cannot afford it but knows that if he wants to be able to keep his job and continue to support his family, that it is the only chance he has.
