Education Specialist has Many Suggestions for Homework Help; Make Student’s Life Less Stressful, More Successful

education specialists

There are many education specialists who agree that children need structure and organization in order to thrive and be all they can be. Some parents may disagree because they child or children seem to like freedom from rules and structure but that is only on the surface. Children need to know that there are boundaries and that parents are in charge. Of course it is only natural that children will push the boundaries and try to get away with as much as they can, but if they are given gentle guidance and strict boundaries, then they will behave better and learn to rely on their own instincts and trust their parents more.

When it comes to homework, it may be time to invest in an education coach for your son or daughter in order to help them organize their mind and their school work so they are better prepared for class, tests and the future. Building a foundation of good study habits now will prepare your child for a lifetime of learning without the struggles that they may be experiencing now.

All students learn in different ways, some learn by doing, some learn through hearing and some learn through visual cues. A person assigned for homework help to your child will first figure out which way your child learns best. They may do this through several fun tests disguised as games. In fact, many student helpers may simply play learning games with your student in the beginning in order for them to feel more comfortable with what they are doing and to help build confidence in them.

Many of the expert tutors are in graduate school learning to become professors in all different types of programs, some in the study of children’s behavior and how they might be able to help them learn better through different disciplines such as music or art and drama.

Homework can be frustrating for both student and parents; however, if there is a plan in place and everyone sticks to it, stays organized and the student can see marked improvement in their grades, then the frustration should subside and success and content will take its place.

Children’s Birthday Parties Switching to Cookie Cutters; Ditching Cupcakes

cookie cutter

Many people are switching to cookies for their children’s parties instead of cupcakes because they are less messy, kids can have more than just one and the birthday child will be able to help in the kitchen with the cookie cutters cutting out the delicious cookies and giving them personality, in addition to them being better and easier than cupcakes.

In addition, most sugar cookie recipes could be tweaked to be a healthier formula without giving up the taste and kids will not even notice the difference. All they will know is that they can eat more than one and have a great time doing it.

Sometimes the birthday party could include the children each using a cookie cutter as part of the birthday party activities, with adult supervision of course. This would be a fun birthday party for girls or boys to participate in and if the host of the party spreads out a large piece of butcher block paper on the table beforehand, clean up will be simple and easy.

Children of all ages will enjoy working with cookie dough and cookie cutters and then being able to decorate the cut out cookies once they have cooled out of the oven. But of course the best part about making cookies is not the decorating or pounding the dough, it’s eating them when they are warm and soft.

When a parent of the birthday boy or girl decides to have a cookie baking party, they should invite several of the parents to help supervise this kitchen activity. One parent could be in charge of the baking, another couple of parents could help with the dough preparation and more could help with the actual cookie cutting process. Then everyone could help with the decorating portion of the party which seems to garner the most fun because children are very creative by nature.

It might be a good idea to borrow several toaster ovens to have them going at the same time in addition to your regular oven to speed up the baking process so the children can move on to the decorating process faster.

Northern Michigan Weddings – Bigger, Better, Different, Unusual, not Extreme

North Michigan WeddingsIt seems as if everyone who is about to have a wedding these days wants a bigger and better one than their friends, even if they are on a budget. And there are plenty of places a soon-to-be-wedded couple could hold their wedding ceremony that is different or out of the ordinary that isn’t at an amusement park, on a rollercoaster that grandma won’t go on, or underwater that only pictures will tell the tale to those who don’t swim.

One of the more unusual, yet not strange, places to hold a matrimonial ceremony is the North Michigan Weddings where a beautiful castle sits waiting for wonderful celebrations for all types of couples.

In a castle in Northern Michigan, there are several different gardens and rooms available for weddings of various sizes and styles. If you and your beloved are planning a small, intimate wedding, then one of the smaller rooms would be perfect and decorating would be quick and easy for the staff which handles all your needs.

Don’t worry if you live in another city or state, a Michigan wedding will be perfect because the staff at the castle is excellent at what they do and what they do is plan weddings and make sure they go off as planned and exactly as the couple wants.

If a couple wants a ‘fairytale’ wedding with that old world feeling, then the castle in the field next to a beautiful lake would make a great place to say the ‘I-do’s’ to one another with all their family and friends present. This would qualify as a destination wedding if you do not live in the area and you would want to send out the announcements at least two to three months in advance so people could make arrangements to take off work and get hotel reservations in the nearby towns.

One of the best parts about being married in this old castle is the photo opportunities that waits at every entrance, a flower covered stone wall, garden full of flowers or window overlooking the wonderful lake.

Georgia Fly Fishing Guide Suggests Trying Tubing

fly fishing GAA Georgia fly fishing guide recommends tubing into the waters in order to go where the fish are instead of getting tangled up with the regular crowd. It will take some practice and may feel funny at first, but fly fishing with a tube is a great way to go where the fish hang out.

An angler new to the tubing way of fishing could use flippers; however they are difficult to walk in. The safest way to begin your tube fishing trip into the water is to wade backwards into the water while holding the tube around your waist. When you have managed to maneuver your way safely into the water a ways, push off to go into deeper waters.

Fly fishing GA says that casting from a tube that is chest high could be difficult if not totally discouraging at first. If you feel wobbly then you are trying to muscle your way out with your cast – this is not a good idea in the beginning, although it is the ultimate goal. Putting the casting plane in proper perspective is what you will do when your body is closer to the waterline. Your rod will smack the water every time if you don’t swing and stop the rod at the proper heights. One way to get around the rod going into the water is to use a longer rod such as a 9.5 or ten foot No. 5 or 6.

One thing many fly fishermen don’t do often enough is make friends with the wind and being in open waters forces you to do just that. Use the wind to power back casts and always remember that tight loops travel through headwinds better than loose ones.

Georgia fly fishing is a wonderful sport for the entire family. The best place to locate the trout in a tube is to maneuver yourself over to the cold-water inlet where the water is oxygen-rich and the trout like to congregate. Cast to the edges or the closer fish first and then extend your cast further upstream for the best results – if you do the opposite you will have scared the close fish and probably those farther away as well.

An Array of Colorful, Collectable Beach Towels, Perfect for the Beach or Pool Side

beach towelsIt’s that time of year again when people are thinking of their vacation and others are thinking of where they want to go on spring break. Most that have been stuck in the east and Midwest are thinking of going somewhere warm and with water and therefore are in need of beach towels. There are many different styles and kinds of beach towels, most are big and thirsty to soak up the water from a person that has just immerged from the ocean or a pool.

When it comes to beach towels, there are the latest styles, and then there are those that do a good job, some are both stylish and good at their jobs – super absorbent and stylish – and that is what a beachgoer or swimmer needs. The beach towels that are thin yet stylish are only good for laying out and soaking up the sun’s rays for a tan, they are not good for soaking up all the water from a person who has been swimming all afternoon in a river, lake, ocean or swimming pool.

Beach towels could be wrapped around a person and worn as a piece of clothing like a dress to cover up their swimsuit when walking around the beach or boardwalk; mostly women wrap a beach towel around themselves however once in a while you will see a man do this.

Beach towels come in a person’s favorite color and patterns like palsy or strips and there are oversized beach towels that have games on them like checkers or tic-tac-toe. Beach towels also come with characters like Disney beach towels or Superman, Spiderman, the Green Lantern, Aqua Man or Wonder Woman beach towels to show your allegiance to a certain character or group.

Beach towels are perfect to send to preschool or kindergarten with your young child as a blanket or cover up for nap time – they are not too heavy, not to thin and provide just the right amount of comfort. Allow a child to pick out his or her own beach towel from home or at the store and they will be reminded of home every time they get it out of their cubby box for nap time.

Updated Camera Bags and Cases, Stylish Look, Trendy Colors

Camera BagsToday’s cameras bags are more stylish then those of several years ago. Fanny packs, backpacks or luggage style camera style cases are trendy with a splash of color like purple, tan, blue and off white. These colorful camera bags will help to accent any outfit in addition to being functional.

Many of the camera bags of today started out as bags of necessity from photojournalists who either didn’t want people to know they were carrying cameras or were not supposed to have a camera with them where they were going and decided to take one anyway in an altered bag. Several of the newer camera cases are large enough for cameras, extra lenses, and computer cords, several small memory cards for storing photographs and batteries and battery chargers. There are even specially designed camera cases that have room for a laptop and a small pullout ‘desk’ or flat writing surface for working, writing or e-mailing photographs to meet a deadline.

There are many camera carrying cases that look and feel like true luggage for those photographers that need a lot of cameras and equipment to get their job done. This could be a school photographer who takes portraits as well as snaps pictures for the school sports teams, each requiring a different camera, lens and sometimes and external flash.

The smallest camera carrying case would be those built specifically for the newer cameras, the SLR cameras. These SLR camera bags are almost always black and some are considered ‘form-fitting’ so they are the shape of the camera and lens; others are a typical rectangular shape. All camera bags and cases should come with heavy-duty covered padding or foam to protect the camera and all the accessories from being jumbled around when a person is simply walking or traveling.

A camera bag must fit the camera and the photographer because the photographer has a certain lifestyle and if the camera case does not fit that style, they will not want to carry the camera in the bag and risk the chance of it getting hit or broken from a fall.<–>

Tampa Doggie Daycare Can Help Turn Wild Puppies into Well-behaved Dogs

Tampa doggie daycareA Tampa doggie daycare may be just what you need for that new puppy that gets bored easily when left alone in a house if you don’t want to leave it in a kennel all day.  Many puppies need constant companionship or they will chew furniture, shoes and just about anything they can get their paws on.  Countless people feel that keeping a puppy in a kennel or a crate for long periods of time is cruel and would opt for a doggie daycare in which they would have lots of play time and interaction with humans and other dogs, depending on their temperament and some doggy daycares even offer puppy classes to help you train your new puppy in the ways of good dog behavior.

These puppy classes help teach them not to jump on you and other people, help them to sit and stay until you call them and help them with biting and barking. In addition they learn how to play nicely with other dogs without fighting or biting each other or stealing their toys or food. These things are very important lessons in the dog world.

A Tampa doggy daycare may crate train your puppy for part of the day, but allow them to roam freely for the most part of the day which is what a lot of people believe is the best thing for a growing puppy or a little bit older dog.  However, as much the doggie daycare helps to train your new puppy, it is up to the puppy owner to continue with the training lesson and be consistent, making sure to practice and practice often in order to get the puppy to pay attention and learn what they need to be a good dog.

Once a puppy has gotten used to going to a doggy daycare during the day, they need to get used to the rules of the house when they are at home. Make sure the puppy knows that they need to go to the door when they need to go potty and that chewing on anything but their toys or a bone is a no-no.

Candles Light the way for a new Tradition of an Electric-Free Evening

A family could save money on their utility bills by having a ‘no technology’ or’ no electric night’ one night a month or once a week in which they turn off all the lights, cell phones and television and use candle lights all around the house and in the living room or family room and play board games together and simply enjoy each others company. Children will like this idea because it would be just like camping only inside and adults should like the idea of not having the lights and other electric items on for one night, saving them money,

Participating in a candle-only night would give parents an opportunity to teach their young children about the value of a dollar and how saving it makes sense, in addition to having lots of fun in a bad situation – in case the lights go out – and not being so dependent on material things such as an iPod, cell phone or television.

Have the children help prepare for the evening of candles only by collecting candles from around the house and placing them on a living room table; however it is best to allow the adults to light the candles as many children do not have the hand-eye coordination or development to light a match.

For a special occasion, use a large, thick chocolate scented jar candle to help light the area in which the family is going to be seated closest to them most of the night because chocolate has soothing properties in addition to being a jar candle which gives off much more light.

Having a no electricity night in which a family plays cards or board games near a jar candle could become a weekly ritual that everyone in the family looks forward too, even the youngest child and teenagers would enjoy a ‘pioneers’ night without the use of electricity. Explain to the younger children that before the invention of electricity – which powers the lamps jar candleand television, people, would do things by the light of many candles

Foreclosures in Tampa Florida; Short Sales and REO Houses Counted for 2009

foreclosures in Tampa FloridaAccording to the recently released Top 25 Core-Based Statistical Areas survey from September 2009, the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater Florida area, which ranked No. 20, listed 375 houses that were sold under a short sale agreement out of 3,980 houses for sale at that time.

A short sales Tampa agreement is where a homeowner, usually facing foreclosure or simply unable to sell their home for a long period of time, will choose to list their house for sale at a lesser amount or shorter than the amount due to the bank or lending institution. This accomplishes several things, it helps the homeowner out from under a sometimes ‘crushing’ financial burden when they may be facing a crisis such as a job loss or mounting medical bills. A short sale also gives the bank or lending facility some funds from the sale of the house because they would rather receive some money than repossessing the house, and it puts a family or individual in the home because no one benefits from an empty house. Empty houses could become neighborhood eyesores, gathering places for gangs and drug activities and public health hazards.

Also on the 2009 Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater Florida area survey were REO or Real Estate Owned properties. The REO count was a whopping 757 out of the total houses sold during that time period. Many REOs come from foreclosures in Tampa, Florida because a real estate company, brokerage firm or agent often knows of the foreclosed property before the general public and is able to make a winning bid. Several REO properties are multi-family units like apartment complexes or duplexes which are harder to sell to the general public. Some agents hold on to the REO properties as money making opportunities.

Tampa short sales are also being purchased by real estate professionals for the purpose of reselling when the market regains it footing or for money making opportunities in rental properties. Many people who have been forced out of their homes due to a foreclosure or short sale will want to rent property and real estate brokers are poised to help them.
