Growing up on the Gulf Coast of Florida, I loved the area because there was
so much to do and summer lasted nine months out of the year. I moved away
because of my business, but now as a retiree, I started looking for in the same
area of Florida without the size and population of bigger cities
like Pensacola and Ft. Walton Beach. I was and am on a budget and

north end of the bay north of Panama

live in a small town with both the beach and the national forest nearby, but I

the life I have found in this sleepy little time gives me the outdoor
recreation opportunities I need and the quiet that I deserve during my
retirement years. I still can go to the beach, go fishing, and enjoy my
retirement and still have money left over to enjoy some of the better things in
life.
